Privacy Policy

My Spiritual Condition (the “App”) is designed to help members of Alcoholics Anonymous manage meetings, contacts, action items, reminders, and their spiritual practice. Privacy is fundamental to this purpose. This policy explains what information the App handles and how.

Summary

• No account required. No ads. No third‑party analytics or tracking.
• Your data is stored locally on your device in a private database.
• Sync is optional and, when enabled, uses your iCloud. The developer cannot access it.
• Notifications are opt‑in and scheduled locally on your device.
• You control your data: edit, export (if supported), or delete it at any time.

Data We Store On Your Device

The App stores the information you enter so it can function, including:

• Meetings and groups (names, schedules, formats, addresses or online links).
• Contacts (e.g., sponsors/sponsees/fellows) and related notes you provide.
• Action items, reminders, and activity logs (prayer, meditation, service, etc.).
• Your preferences (theme, time format) and optional sobriety date.

This information is stored locally in a SQLite database within the App’s sandbox. Deleting the App removes this local data from your device.

Optional iCloud Sync

If you enable sync, the App stores an encrypted copy of your data in your iCloud storage so it can be available across your Apple devices signed into the same Apple ID. iCloud is operated by Apple; the developer does not run, control, or have access to your iCloud account or contents. You can disable sync at any time from settings.

Notifications

Meeting reminders and other notifications are opt‑in. If you grant permission, reminders are scheduled locally on your device. Notification content is limited to the reminder details you configured (e.g., meeting name, time). You can change permissions or disable notifications at any time in your device settings.

Location (Optional)

You may choose to use “Locate Me” to help fill in a meeting address. Location access is optional and only used at the moment you request it. The App does not track your location in the background. If you save a meeting, its address is stored as part of that meeting record.

Speech Recognition (Optional)

If you enable dictation features, the App uses the operating system’s built‑in speech recognition. Audio processing is handled by the OS provider (Apple) and used to populate the fields you are editing. The App does not send audio to the developer or third‑party analytics services.

No Third‑Party Ads or Analytics

The App does not include advertising SDKs, tracking beacons, fingerprinting, or third‑party analytics.

Data Retention & Deletion

• Local data remains on your device until you edit or delete it, or uninstall the App.
• If iCloud sync is enabled, copies may remain in your iCloud until you disable sync and/or remove them via Apple’s tools.
• Within the App, you can delete meetings, contacts, and other entries. Some deletes may first be marked as “deleted” for reliability, but remain only on your device or iCloud.

Children’s Privacy

The App is intended for adults. If you believe a minor has provided data, please remove it using the in‑app tools or device controls.

Security

The App relies on the security of your device, your iCloud (if enabled), and the operating system’s protections. Keep your device up to date and use a device passcode/biometrics to help protect your data.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy to reflect product, legal, or regulatory changes. Updates will be posted on this page and the “Last updated” date will change accordingly.
